My Story
After 17 years supporting undergraduate students at Stanford, Harvard and USC, I began my admissions consulting practice in the spring of 2021. My extensive background and leadership experience in higher education uniquely position me to guide high school students through the admissions process.
I graduated from Stanford with a Bachelor's degree in History and then went on to earn a Master's degree in Education from the University of Southern California where I also served for three years as an Academic Counselor for varsity student-athletes. Later, I spent two years working in athletic administration at Harvard University before returning to Stanford.
At Stanford, I led the academic advising team serving varsity student-athletes for five years, directed student services for varsity athletes for six years with two years working closely with the Office of Admission managing the application process for varsity student-athletes. In addition, I spent one year as a seasonal reader reviewing applicants for the undergraduate class of 2025.
As an undergrad, I was a four year letter winner as a defensive lineman on the football team and played in the 2000 Rose Bowl. I went on to play briefly in the NFL for one season on the practice squad with the San Francisco 49ers. I met my wife Ellen at Stanford and we have two children. Ellen (Estes) earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, was elected co-captain of Stanford’s first NCAA Women's Water Polo Championship Team and is a two-time Olympic Medalist.
