Applying to college and ultimately deciding where to enroll is probably the most significant decision of your child’s young life.  As scary as it might sound, it’s incredibly important for your child to take the lead throughout the process.  Help them understand what kind of questions need to be answered, take them on college visits, talk through pros and cons of different institutions, but make sure they’re out front asking the questions and initiating conversations.  Be supportive, but remember, they’re the one out there on the field playing the game while you’re cheering like mad from the sidelines.
